The Daily Droll

September 20

It is raining again, what's up with that? Not that I mind because rainey days are my favorite but it makes me so sleepy. I have homework to do today-- what's new. Darn education... WHYYYYY. I feel like I have been in school for 10 years just to get my general aa .. oh wait I have. My gosh life has thrown me for a loop and I just can't seem to get my act together when it comes to school. I have been to many schools so I have enough credits to have my doctorate but most of them didn't transfer or they didn't count as a credit. But I am smart my mommy tells me so, I just havn't been able to really settle into a major. Until now! I think? I am going to school now to become a PTA and this is something I have wanted to do for a while now I just never had the time or money to do so, unfortunately I have some support classes to do and I don't get to officially start that major till August. So I am working from home and taking classes here and there and I am rather quite fond of this schedule. I get to work at my pace, play with my puppy, and make my hubalub (husband) dinner when he gets home. I'm living the american dream-- minus the 2 kids and 1 extra car unless you conscider my husbands electric bike a car :). Anyways that is today for me, I hope yours is going just as well!

Tv Interview September 19

I am the team leader for a new club starting in Pinellas County called YL Capernaum. We just had our first event on September 15 and it was amazing. We are now planning for our next event in October. We were able to get some media coverage to help promote our new club. One of our local Beacon Newspapers and the Christian Television Network is doing a short segment on us as well. We are taping today at 1:30.. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. Either way this is a great oppertunity to get the word out to those families with kids who have special needs. We are opening new doors and hoping to help them live life to the fullest. I hope we reach someone today! Wish me good luck :)

Rainy Day September 18

It is raining outside today, my favorite type of day, and I am unmotivated to do what I should. I am in school right now, plus I have to work, and I am also the team leader for a local club for the special needs population. I have a ton to do but no desire at this very moment to do it. I would rather try my hand at posting my first blog post :). My job is quite simple at the moment my husband worked out our budget so that I can stay home while I am going to school, but I do need to make some money so we can still eat and have fun. I do this through my new Etsy store www.etsy.com/shop/octobernative. I have always been a crafty person and dumpster diving is second nature to me. I call dumpster diving vintage treasure hunting and I am an amazing vintage pirate. It amazes me the things that people throw away. The other day I pulled out a 1876 Vintage Lakeside Spalding tennis racket in great condition and guess how much I found these types of rackets to be listed for on various aution sites-- 129$ and I got it for free. Then I think it was tuesday last week my husband and I went hunting and I found like 10 Vintage Metal Advertising Cans and I have already sold a few :) woo-hoo! Needless to say my dumpsters are not your typical trash cans and I'll never tell anyone where they are :) I'll keep you posted on what I find next and check out what I have found so far I am sure you will be amazed.
